"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God - not the results of works, so that no one may boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Sunday School is held from September till May of the following year. We meet at 9:15 AM each Sunday for Pre-School through High School aged children. For more specific updates about Scandia Sunday School, please search Scandia Lutheran Sunday School Teachers/Parents to find the group on Facebook.
Sharing our Talents
Palm Sunday is another event that the children share their talents by taking a few minutes of the worship service to share the story of Jesus riding on the donkey into Jerusalem. Each summer, Scandia Lutheran also provides a Vacation Bible School program for the area youth. During the month of December, the children share the wonderful news of the Birth of Jesus by putting on a pageant. Each year is a big success.
Our Confirmation Students meet each Wednesday after school from 5:30 - 6:30 PM during the school year. Student's are encouraged to begin the 2 year confirmation program when they are in 7th Grade.
At the beginning of the year the student's receive a Prayer Partner. The Prayer Partner is a member from the congregation that would like to pray for the Confirmation Student.
Each Confirmation Student is required to complete 15 Sermon Outlines during each year and also Acolyte during Worship Service.
Students are also required to memorize the 10 commandments and their meanings as well as the Lord's Prayer and the Apostles Creed.
Each year, Scandia holds Vacation Bible School. Unfortunately due to COVID-19, vacation bible school has been cancelled for summer of 2020.
